The Holiday season is upon us and the GulfTones are busy preparing for the singing events. We will be singing at the Lynn Haven Tree Lighting ceremony on Dec. 2nd in the park on Ohio and 9th Street. We will be singing three songs that most have not heard in these arrangements. It is good Barbershop Harmony at its best.
Also upcoming is Dillard's VIP night. That will be on December 7th and we will start singing around 6pm. This is always a fun night where we stroll through the store singing carols. We spend time with Santa as well, one of our baritone singers, who gets to entertain the little shoppers who visit the store with Mon and Dad.
On November 8 we had our last Farmer's Market of the year. We set up a tent and table and welcome shoppers with songs and information about the GulfTones Barbershop Chorus. That proved to be one of our best Market Days since we have had a couple of visitors the past couple of rehearsals. Two more visitors have dropped by to check us as as well. We can only hope that we did enough to impress them that they will want to join the GulfTones Chorus.
We will start tuning up our Valentine's songs shortly in preparation for Valentines' Day We will be selling Singing Valentine's on our website this year. You will be able to come to the website and order, schedule, and pay for having a quartet visit your loved one with songs and flowers in February. We will have the program on the website available after the first of the year.
